This coastal holiday home was designed over three levels to make the best use of the sloping site set on a dune. The site borders a natural and protected Fynbos habitat at the back, while the house faces the coastline.

The main living areas and main bedroom were placed on the top level to have views of both the coast and Fynbos. The mid level was designed to accommodate all the bedrooms for guests and extended family. All en-suite, and each with its own unique view. The garage is on the ground floor, with a bathroom for those extra guests over the festive season.

This coastal family holiday home was designed to optimise the site’s potential as well as the way the family will live in and use the space. The main living area and main bedroom was designed on the top floor to get the best sea view towards the south and the natural Fynbos to the north. The middle storey makes provision for all the kids and guests with their entertainment area. Each room has its own en-suite and view of either the coast or Fynbos protected area.
